Been a while! Updates and recent work

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

Okay, so I haven’t posted here in a very long time! A year of finishing graduate school, teaching at the Walden School, and building electronic instruments left me in a much more woodsheddy mood than I realized, and I have definitely failed to keep my activities and work up-to-date online.

So here you go, a series of things. Some have been posted online before, but I’ve finally got it all up and running here.

First, a multichannel sound installation that I made for a celebration of 15 years of electronic music education at The Walden School this summer. You can find out more about Jörmungandr here.

Second, a chamber piece for tenor sax, piano, and percussion that I wrote for Ensemble Dal Niente, again performed at Walden. More info about Bahamut II and a link to the score here. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had working with an ensemble!

Third, here are a few things that I’ve done with my homemade electronic instruments. The first two were performed under the name Dr. Zizmor, a collaboration with Aliza Simons.

I’ll post more about coming events and new work this fall!
